UNICERT RULES FOR USE OF LOGO AND MARK
Universal Certification Pte Ltd, headquartered in Singapore, is an accredited certification body in providing management system certification to its audited organization.
Universal Certification is accredited under IAS and provides certification services across the globe under the legally enforced framework. This framework requires our certified organizations to be bound by these rules on use of our logo and accreditation mark in ensuring independent, impartial, and trustworthy recognition on the certification and also as governed by law and accreditation norms.
Universal certification logo and accreditation mark can only be used under the following conditions:
- The use of Universal Certification (UniCert) logo and mark (accreditation mark) may only be used by the UniCert certified organization, after the certificate has been issued based on the audited management system only.
- The use of Universal Certification (UniCert) logo and mark (accreditation mark) can be used during the certificate validity period only.
- The usage of Universal Certification (UniCert) logo and mark (accreditation mark) will be verified during every planned and unplanned visit, to which the certified organization needs to exhibit the adherence to these rules on use of logo and mark. Any deviation in the use of the logo and mark may lead to non-conformance and suspension of the issued certificate.
- Whenever the certificate is amended based on scope (eg: reduction, addition, etc.), the certified organization needs to exhibit adherence to these rules on use of logo and mark by making the changes wherever required (eg: publications currently in use, advertisements etc.) to the amended scope.
- When a misleading publication/advertisement is made to the users of the certification issued by the certified organization, then Universal Certification reserves the right to object on such usage and keep the user informed with relevant certified information and thereby suspend the certificate until such corrective actions are taken to better comply with these rules.
Better compliance (Do’s)
- WHERE TO USE: The certified organization should only be used on letterheads, business cards, contracts, sales documents, invoices, greeting cards, delivery cards, advertising material/publications such as websites, brochures, promotional videos, TV displays, posters, etc.
- The certified organization should make clear or avoid misinterpretation statements on labels/ products by only making the relevance to the type of management system (eg: quality, environmental etc.) and the related standard (logo & mark) only to its management system and not the product.
- Based on the scope of the issued certification, the certified organization to use Universal Certification (UniCert) logo and mark (accreditation mark) in a combined way (refer combined logo below).
- Reference based on the ISO standards to which the organization is certified must be made clear and traceable to the certificate issued by Universal Certification (UniCert).
- The certified organization should only use the original color of Universal Certification (UniCert) logo and mark (accreditation mark) or black and white version for its use. In case of any clarifications needed, the certified organization to reach us via email as published in our website or to the relevant personnel who manage your account.
Prohibitions (Don’t’s):
- WHERE NOT TO USE: The Universal Certification (UniCert) logo and mark (accreditation mark) are not to use on any of your product/s or its packaging in such a way that it is interpreted as conformity with the product.
- The use of the logos of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is prohibited, since they are only for the exclusive use of the organization and its technical committees and not for Unicert and its certified organizations.
- All the publication that bears the Universal Certification (UniCert) logo and mark (accreditation mark) must not be ambiguous on the mark, accompanying text, and the certified scope.
- The certified organization should not use the Universal Certification (UniCert) logo and mark (accreditation mark) when the certificate is suspended based on reasons (upon communication by UniCert), until the period that the certificate comes valid. All the advertisements and publications to adhere to such non-usage during this period of suspension.
- The Universal Certification (UniCert) logo and mark (accreditation mark) should not be used on any reports and the certificates (eg: laboratory, calibration or inspection etc.), by the certified organization or its associated organization where report or certificate is generated.
