UNICERT’S POLICY FOR SUSPENSION, WITHDRAWAL OR REDUCTION OF THE SCOPE OF CERTIFICATION
Upon review of UniCert’s audit reports and subsequent verification, UniCert is authorized to suspend client certification upon:
- UniCert certified client has requested a voluntarily suspension in writing;
- UniCert certified client does not allow surveillance or recertification audits to be conducted at the required frequencies as mentioned in the contract;
- UniCert certified client management system has persistently or seriously failed to meet certification requirements, including requirements for the effectiveness of the management system in the surveillance audits;
UniCert ensures that the suspended status of the certification is publicly accessible (UniCert website) and also communicated to the client in writing.
UniCert ensures, if within one month of suspension or as per UniCert time limit the issues are not resolved for that have resulted in the suspension, then the UniCert takes decision of withdrawal or reduction of the scope of the certification and communicates in writing to the client and the list is updated on UniCert website.
Upon verification of audit reports and subsequent on-site verification, the UniCert may reduce the client’s scope of certification to exclude the elements not meeting the requirements, when the client has persistently or seriously failed to meet the certification requirements for those parts of the scope of certification. UniCert ensures the reduction shall be in the line with the requirements of the standards used for certification.
UniCert client management system certification, under suspension, becomes temporarily invalid. UniCert ensures the enforceable arrangements with its client to ensure that in case of suspension the client refrains from further promotion of its certifications per agreed terms and conditions.
UniCert ensures that the enforceable arrangements with the UniCert certified client concerning conditions of suspension/withdrawal ensuring upon notice of certification, the client discontinues its use of all advertising matter that contains any reference to a certified status as per contract.
